Emilie Li
I major in Fashion Marketing & Management at Savannah College of Art and Design — Atlanta. During my junior and senior years of undergrad as a full-time student, I committed myself to a full-time position in Fendi as a sales associate. After graduation, I decided to pursue my masters degree in Luxury Fashion Management at SCAD Atlanta and take a part-time position at Saks Fifth Avenue as a luxury style advisor.
As I have always devoted myself at time management, I was able to balance my time between work and school. I exceeded my monthly sales goal consistently at my full-time and part-time job. With my bilingualism and cultural experience, I was able to increase the store’s sales by 10%.
My bilingual skills enabled me to reach top sales, and I was able to assist students with language barriers at college. Helping my parents who run a family business in the U.S. and China, I have familiarized myself with both countries’ cultures and resources. I am experienced in social media and internet sales in luxury fashion. My years of experience as a model is an excellent asset for any design or public relations team.
For me, fashion isn't just about the clothes, but rather, a way to reflect a time period's news, politics, and innovations. Nowadays, the fashion industry has created a lot of attention in the world. More people are beginning to care about how and what their clothes are made of and where they are made. This is the chance to reevaluate our industry.
